The Haunted Mansion story

It's the middle of the night. Driving through the countryside after an evening with friends, your headlights catch sight of a little girl standing by the side of the road. You stop, and she tells you she ran away from home after an argument and got lost. You offer her a ride home and watch as she walks inside. Just as you're about to leave, you notice she has forgotten her doll on the back seat. You decide to return it, but when you reach the house, the front door is slightly ajar. You step inside and discover that the house has been completely abandoned for years. Frozen in shock, you notice an old newspaper lying on the floor. The front-page article shows a photograph of a young girl who died in a road accident. It's her. But the newspaper is over 30 years old. Panic sets in as you rush for the exit, but before you can escape, the front door slams shut behind you.
